Mae Willem writes about skincare for Skin-Nomad, covering ingredients, formulation, and the gap between what a product claims and what it actually does. She has been testing and curating skincare for years, works through INCI lists before marketing copy, and is more interested in whether a formula's logic holds together than in what a brand says about it. She grew up between French pharmacy staples and now buys skincare in every country she visits, which means a fair amount of what she knows came from asking strangers what they use.
