Skin Test: Build a Routine That Matches Your Skin
The Skin Test is a short set of questions that narrows over 270 products from 49 brands down to a routine you can actually follow. It takes about two minutes, and you do not need to know your skin type before you start.
How the matching works
Every product on Skin-Nomad carries structured data behind the scenes: skin type, concern, routine step, and a set of verified badges. The test reads that data rather than guessing. When you say your skin is dry and reactive and you are pregnant, the result is filtered against the Pregnancy Safe and Sensitive Skin records we hold on each product, not against a marketing claim on the front of the bottle.
That is the whole design principle. The test is only as good as the product data underneath it, which is why we maintain that data first.
What the test asks you
- Skin type. Dry, oily, combination or normal. If you are not sure, the questions about how your skin behaves through the day will settle it.
- Your main concern. Pigmentation, fine lines, breakouts, redness, dullness, dark circles, or a barrier that has stopped holding up.
- Where you are starting from. Whether you want a full routine or one product to slot into what you already use.
- What you need to avoid. Pregnancy, sensitivity, fragrance, alcohol, or a preference for vegan, organic or cruelty free formulas.

What the test will not do
It is a shopping tool, not a diagnosis. It cannot see your skin, it does not assess conditions, and it will not tell you whether something needs a doctor. If a concern is persistent, painful or changing, that is a conversation with a GP or a dermatologist, not a quiz.
It also will not recommend a product we cannot stand behind for you. If your answers rule out most of the catalogue, you will get a short result rather than a padded one.

How long does it take?
About two minutes. There is no account needed to see your result.
Will it recommend things I am allergic to?
It filters on the badges you select, and every product page carries a full INCI list so you can check the specific ingredient yourself before you buy. If you have a known allergy, read the INCI. No filter replaces that.
Can I retake it?
Yes, as often as you like. Skin changes with season, age and circumstance, and the answer you gave in January is not binding in July.
What if I disagree with the result?
Tell us. Email hello@skin-nomad.com with what it suggested and what you were expecting. The matching rules are ours and we change them when they are wrong.
